Carol Clarkson is a studio potter living in McAllister, Montana. Prior to her study of ceramics, she was a teacher of the hearing impaired and learning disabled. With a M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, and a BA from Converse College , she was also a director of disability services at Clemson University.
Ms. Clarkson has studied ceramics at Penland School of Crafts, John C Campbell Folk School, Laloba Ranch, Shakerag Workshops, Odyssey Center of Ceramic Art, Clemson University, The Art Center of Clemson and La Meridiana School of Ceramics (Italy). She completed an artist residency at Wildacres Retreat, Little Switzerland, NC.
