I decided to make a 6" x 4" wall piece using her baby picture. The angel was bisque fired to cone 06 with a copper oxide wash and touched in places with a commercial cone 05 white glaze ( that turns copper oxide turquoise) This was the single firing.
The center area was covered with white gesso creating a smooth surface for transfer.
The photograph was copied on a xerox machine ( that ink will transfer). The gesso and the bisqued surface will absorb the ink.Placing the ink side against the surface, I burnish with the back of a spoon. Mist with water and rub away the paper very slowly. When finished seal with matte
medium. ( painter's supplies)
